The divisional rivals will be staging a battle for second place in the American League East, as both teams enter tonight’s action three games behind the Boston Red Sox. Montgomery looks to improve on his previous performances against Tampa earlier this season in which he gave up 4 long balls over 11 combined innings in 2 starts.The Yankees lineup will be facing Luis Patiño, a 21-year-old right-hander who’s making his second start of the season. Patiño is coming off a great appearance one week ago tonight in which he appeared in relief and threw three innings against the Angels, striking out five, walking none, while allowing only two hits.
